Artists in love: Brendan and Whitney Raidt are a couple of married artists who extend their collaboration to photographic work.
Brendan Raidt-Artist, Musician, Mechanic.
My brain works like a camera. Focus. Flash. Store. Remember.
And I believe that God gave me the gift to show life and people in a beautiful and truthful way.
I've been working with cameras and video all my life with my dad. Every chance he got, he'd tell me to videtape or shoot something. I was born and raised in South Carolina, where floods and hurricanes are always around. After I started photographing destroyed homes, lost animals, angry skies and broken hearts, is when I decided I wanted to become a photographer. I am interested in photography, not because I want to create the most beautiful, perfect moment, but because I see beauty in every moment, in the interplay between order and disorder.
Through my work, I hope to show others the goodness of God. I just love taking images from the world and looking for moments to release the shutter and tell a story. Everyone has a story to tell and I can't wait to flash it back to you.

Art is in my blood. I come from a family of creative people who love to draw, paint, play music, quilt, and organize closets into color order. I believe that my creative instincts are a gift to me from God.
I chose to study photography because it challenged me to think about light, visual language, and the possibility of perpetuating moments that come, and instantly are gone. Photography enables us to remember how we looked years ago, to remember the people we love, the things we did, and to remember the beauty in life. I love that power.
I have worked as a teacher, a model, and a photographer. Each of my experiences has helped me to improve my art. I have honed my technical abilities, gained knowlege about what it feels like to be photographed, learned to create images that meet specific requirements, and practiced to make the most of my talents. To whatever work I do, I bring my heart and soul.
There is something indescribably powerful that happens when love
and art come together.
